Construction Update

Altaire at Jackson Park

August 2024

About the Project

Altaire at Jackson Park will be a 9 story, 186,683 square foot, 207-unit Affordable Housing (LIHTC) project in NE Seattle. Featuring a unit mix of studio, 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom, there will also be common laundry areas on every floor, a community room for private parties, family events and community gathering, a central courtyard equipped with an outdoor sink, two barbeques and moveable tables, a landscaped community garden and an outdoor naturalistic play area, including a slide mound and plenty of seating. There will be 32 parking stalls onsite.

Scheduled completion date is Q1 2026

Scheduled Work

The project team has achieved significant milestones, including the completion of the first elevated deck and the Level 1 post-tensioned elevated slab, enabling the start of vertical construction for that section of the building. Today marks the pouring of the remaining garage ramp slab, finalizing all concrete work from the Parking/Basement level upwards. Vertical work on the east side of the Level 1 deck will commence this week alongside shoring activities for the Level 2 west post-tension deck.

The Level 2 deck is expected to be topped out by the end of the month, with all major concrete work projected to be finished by early October and the Level 2 concrete deck anticipated to be completed just before Labor Day.

Planned Street Interruptions

Attention commuters:  During the concrete phase, large deliveries of rebar, post-tensioning cables, and formwork may cause minor traffic delays. On pour days, a lane may be temporarily closed to facilitate the work, and a uniformed police officer will be present to manage traffic flow. Typically, only southbound 15th Ave is affected, but large deliveries may also impact northbound traffic.

We kindly ask all neighbors to exercise caution while walking around the site and to bear with us as we progress with this necessary construction activity. Rest assured, we are committed to minimizing any disruptions and will make every effort to ensure that construction activities do not disturb residents during quiet hours

We apologize for any inconveniences throughout the construction process. The safety of all employees, neighbors and the general public is our number one priority. Please be aware of changing conditions in the public right-of-way as sidewalk and street conditions are ever changing. Heavy equipment is entering and exiting the jobsite regularly. Please be aware of your surroundings and help us keep this project safe and free of injury.

Thank you.
